Map

The Map step begins with two critical exercises: System of the Systems and Process Triage mapping. System of the Systems Mapping (SoftS) identifies core and supporting systems, determining where to begin the process optimization journey. Process Triage, the core of M4, combines expert-led workshops with frontline employees, data-driven analysis, and accountability tracking to address inefficiencies in business processes.

Measure

The Measure step focuses on tracking progress to ensure success. It starts by defining a Process Capability Goal (SMART goal) to which all pain is aligned and progress is tracked. This step includes participating in check-ins at 30, 60, and 90 days post-workshop, and accessing "Pulse reports" to capture insights and track progress.

Manage

The Manage step teaches organizations how to optimize and move from sufficient to efficient by managing the system instead of just the people. It involves actively monitoring performance metrics, making data-informed adjustments as needed, and shifting from telling people what to do to encouraging suggestions for increasing quality, quantity, and reducing costs. This step ensures long-term success and continuous improvement by regularly mapping out the same core business processes.

Mobilize

The Mobilize step activates process improvement remedies throughout the organization. It focuses on empowering the entire organization with systems thinking tools and techniques to identify and resolve inefficiencies, eliminate waste, and recognize opportunities or risks in business processes. This approach encourages a culture of continuous improvement across operations, activating teams to take ownership of their work and actively seek improvement.

How Process Triage Works

The 90-day Process Triage® Method begins with a pre-planning session to identify the process to be triaged and set clear, measurable goals. This is followed by an intensive one-day workshop led by certified facilitators, where frontline employees engage in comprehensive workflow mapping, identify pain points, and propose remedies using our ADTE (Analyze, Design, Train, Enforce) methodology.

Post-workshop, our Analytics team analyzes the results to produce a detailed process map and a customized 90-Day Action Planning Tool. We then assist in activating the 90-Day Action Plan with key stakeholders. Throughout the following 90 days, we provide regular Pulse Reports at 30, 60, and 90-day intervals to track progress and ensure accountability. The program culminates with a measurement of impact against the initial goals and a final optimized process map, ready for implementation.
